New Gaming computer?
Hi guys. I've been thinking about it lately. The computer I have is a custom that we got about 6 years ago maybe? Well I don't have enough money to buy a new computer, but I was just wondering. What's the best computer for gaming and why?

You have several companies to choose from, but the first decision is to build it yourself or have a company do it for you. Building it yourself gives yourself a satisfaction, but can be overwhelming for an unexperienced PC Hardware person. You might be better off having a company construct the Gaming computer for you.
Dell - Gaming Section
Everyone has to recommend DELL for their support. They have decent computers, but I have worked with them a few models at school and they can be a nuisance.
Alienware - Homepage
Known for using top of the line hardware for constructing AWESOME gaming rigs. The prices might be a little to much for the ULTIMATE gaming rig but you could settle for something not as ULTIMATE but still KICKASS.
Now I will let others do some recommending. Remember to stock up on RAM.

Good point epa. Cool, do you have any experience building computers? Would you want to build one from scratch or a bare-bones kit? Or would you want to unpack, turn on and play? :D Your choice.

To build or not to build, that is the question.
Maybe one day we can do our own "Building your own computer guide with pictures and audio guide" with special narration by Elixir... hehe okay I'm exaggerating. Just a simple thread with steps and pictures would do. I might have time if I can find the camera around here.

I actually have NO experience building computers. But I think it would be great to have a "How to" thread on building a computer.

Actually, after watching WoW with Leeroy!, I found my creative genius flowing and I went and followed Kresh's link to Camtasia. I think we could do video of just about anything. Just need a reg key for it (you have 30 days, don't sweat) and we're golden.
Seriously, the problem with doing a computer how-to build is that there are thousands of (actually 211,000, according to Google) such things on the 'net already. We don't need to reinvent the wheel here, team. The launch pad for all endeavours like this is, as always, a wiki:

After reviewing the above link, I doubt you will have to go anywhere else. Well, this thread's closed. Another job well done. Ahhhh.

Nah, the point of doing our own How-To is just for the fun of it. I mean it doesn't have to be a chore. Plus it allows people to ask their own questions when building a computer.
Users are afraid to build a computer because they are afraid they'll get stuck and have no one to turn to ask questions. Here we provide our own VeX guide, and we offer a user-community support to the guide. We could even expand on this How-To and add other How-To guides.
Just wanting to spread the VeX fame with new content. ;)

Let's get our list of to-do's done first.
Plus, you gotta admit, that wiki is first rate. I'll gladly answer questions that come from that.
