Cleansing

OK guys. We have WAY to many old and worthless posts in here. I'm going to clean all this crap out of here, and make a fresh start, unless someone has some objections? We're just gonna clean ALL of this crap out and we gonna start over, like new and have a clean, fresh start. I'll the ones that are necessary of course. But, it will only be like 3-4. Any objections?

I object to the deletion of the old posts.

I would recommend locking them so they don't return from the grave.

I would like to keep them so others can read the glory that once was (or lack thereof). I sometimes like going back and reading posts of mine to see how different my style is from my current state, it's like looking at a different person (which I find to be pretty interesting).

Supa has a point. There are times I still go to the groups.yahoo.com VeX Clan page and look at my old self. It can be a little embarrassing, but at least you know you changed for the better... right?

There are two moderators in this section. It scares me that you guys are asking these questions. You both have valid points, so to say that any one thing is right... is wrong.

On one hand there are threads there should be kept intact and locked so they don't come back.

On the other hand there are threads that are 100% trash and should be deleted.

That's where a Forum Moderator comes in. As a mod, you are the only ones who can decide what stays and what goes. It's a judgment call. It's your decision. If you screw it up, the messages will be gone forever.

That said, go forth and clean up your forum; that's what Moderators do.
