LimeWire not working

Okay heres one that I hope you all can help me out with. I am trying to open limewire on my computer and it has always worked untill the other day when my computer had trouble restarting. now i had to put it into safe mode and restore older settings thing to like earlier in the month and it worked, ran virus scan nothing so i defragged and it seems to be restarting and everything fine. however, limewire aint working on my computer no more and I dont know why. everytime i click the shortcut nothing happens at all. I uninstalled and reinstalled and still nothing so i dont know whats gonig on, hopefully you all can help me out.

Hrmm, looks like you could always use DC++ or IRC :D

Did you try redownloading the installation file and then reinstalling? Perhaps the original installation file got corrupted.

LimeWire not working

try using the actual exe icon in windows explorer to open the file- i have seen shortcuts get corrupted even when the target is correct. Especially in the quick launch on the taskbar.

Both Epagien's and Kresh's idea's are dead on correct. Let us know when you've looked at both those avenues: first, find the original executable in your Program Files directory and try making a shortcut to that. If that doesn't work, then try finding or downloading the original installer and reinstall.

I have done both and neither seemed to work. I completely uninstalled it and then reinstalled and that didnt work so tehen i tried opening it with the .exe file and that didnt work either. It could just be beacause i have an emachine lol.
