My Call of Duty won't install!
Ok, I went to install Call of Duty the other day, I put Disc 1 in and the little screen that pops up when you put in the disc only stays up for about 2 seconds until disappearing. I tried rebooting, nothing. I tried going to My Computer and clicking on the drive with the disc in it, nothing. I'm very pissed off that Call of Duty decided to be a bitch right when I needed it most. So if you guys could give me an alternative way to install this damn thing, that would be great, thanks.

This is a reinstall and I use Ad-ware Personal and Spybot-Search&Destroy

Since it is a reinstall, I would go to the add/remove programs dialogue and make sure you have uninstalled it from there first. Then try reinstalling.
I am sorry to inform you that, although Spybot and AdAware are excellent programs, they are NOT anti-virus programs. They are anti-spyware.
I have the feeling you have a virus. It is just a feeling. When I see an installer start, and then disappear off the screen in a few seconds without any error messages, I think it is virus-related.
If there are any error messages, please post them here verbatim.
It is imperative that you install Norton Antivirus 2006 or similar. There are free 15-day trials available from symantec.com or similar. However, if you have trouble installing CoD, you may also have trouble installing NAV, for the same reasons.
Let me know status and I can help. At this time I do NOT recommend reinstalling Windows. Let's try other things first.

HA! Got the sucker to install. I found that you don't need the start up screen to start the setup. You can just right click on the disc drive (D: ), select open, then select Setup in there. I really don't know why I didn't think of that before, I feel kind of silly acctually but no matter! The point is, I'm back and I'm going to start rubbing off all that rust!

Yea cool the same thing happened with me for CoD and rome total war. Every folder has that "setup" folder thingy... But yea it works with any game.
