VeX still fighting hard

Well now, its hard to believe so many people still cling to Outwars. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. I can't remember how many times people declared Outwars "dead" over the years, and that was when you could still find 20+ people online at once. The game really didn't get the attention it deserved. Then again, with the massive communities games have nowadays, I doubt we would have been as close of a community as we were if Outwars was huge. If Outwars fades away, keep your memories close, and be honored that you could be a part of its magnificence.

Steps off soap box

Now then. It shouldn't surprise anyone that its a very difficult matter to form a tight 'family' within a larger community. It's hard to get that "small town" feeling in a city.

In any case, I was floored when I went to visit the Outwars room a while back and it had been removed.

(On another note)
Just a few points about the website:

First off, why the hell can't I view the ex-VeX page? I wanted to see if Der_Convict and I were on there. That’s just cold.

Second, what happened to the results of the Hall of Fame? I was interested in that. I would nominate myself, but I was just a general ass kicker. There are many others that built VeX and the community who are much more worthy.

VeX still fighting hard

Hey Velcrow, how's it going? I like what you said about the family feel of the Outwars community. But I think you can get that feeling with any game these days. It's all about forming a good group and getting the group to perform.

So speaking of that, do you belong to any other Clans, and are you interested in signing on with VeX again?

Regarding the ex-VeX board. It's more of a place to go there the officers of VeX can discuss "internal affairs" and stuff. I think you're looking for the ex-VeX webpage (different than the board) and I'm pretty sure it's down while we switched domains. Hang in there... Epagien and I are working on putting it all back together.

Anyway, nice talking to ya Velcrow!
