[POSITION][The Cabinet] Leader Position(s)

Position Level: The Cabinet
Position Title: Leader (title pending) *edited here
-----------
The cabinet has three seats, and they all have the same powers. This thread applies to all three seats. This thread doesn't assign a seat to a particular person(s).

Please note that no other seats/positions can be added to 'The Cabinet' level.

[NOTICE]

Take a look at this clan's leader positions.

The leaders should have similiar responsibilities/powers.

My Questions?
How should these seats be filled? via Elections?
If elections are used in VeX, How often should these seats have campaigns?
Who should be considered for candidancy?

[POSITION][The Cabinet] Leader Position(s)

For this, highest level position, I believe an election is in order, but I also believe nominations are in order before that. We have to be very careful who gets into that seat. We should also make a rule about how LONG one can hold that seat.

I believe those considered for cadidacy should be at least a Captain's rank.

The position title: "Seating" must be renamed. I understand your reason for naming it that was probably lack of anything else, but let's think on that.

Discussion point: Does every member get absolute veto authority or should it be 2 of 3 to ratify a veto?

Elections
We will need to work out how elections are held in another thread, but I do agree this position and other positions require elections.

Term Length
All positions should have term lengths. It will just have to be defined when we discuss each position. Some positions might require frequent elections in order to keep the people happy.
example: Section Leader election every 6 months

I agree that for a member to be considered for nomination they be at least Captain rank.

What should the position title be? If I name it Seats A, B, C, it could leave the impression that Seat A has more power than Seat B. We could call it the triumvirate.

We need the check-n-balance, so going with the 2 of 3 to ratify a veto would be the perfect check-n-balance tool.

Discussion topics:
How long should a member hold a triumvirate seat? a year, six months?
How many times can a member hold a triumvirate seat?

Okay this is me being kinda stupid and slow. We are going to have Section leader votings? So lets say if I start up the SC section again, in 6 months we are going to have a vote to see if I get to keep that position as Section leader?

That was only an example and wasn't a official statement saying every 6 months we would vote on Section Leaders.

But we do need to decide on when should the Cabinet positions have elections.

Any final thoughts on this position before we wrap it up and vote?

Retiring Cabinet Members
What should be length we should allow a Cabinet Member to remain inactive?

3 Months without Notification?
6 Months with Notification?

----

If unable to become active after this time, he/she will lose his position and a new member will be elected.

[POSITION][The Cabinet] Leader Position(s)

Hmmm, I think 3 months without notification will work just fine.

[POSITION][The Cabinet] Leader Position(s)

Wow, 3 months? that's a lot. I would say 1 month. A lot can happen in a month. But since that's not a choice: 3 months :)

It's a choice, I was just giving some numbers.
