VeX Government
What should be the goal(s) of our government?
What should our leaders focus on?
- Recruiting Dev.
- New Content (new sections, tournaments, site updates)
- Clan Promotion (...)
I am interested in everyones idea's as in a few weeks (hopefully), we can nominate/elect three Cabinet members that will begin forming the new 'governing system'. These Cabinet members will be expected to work with section leaders and general clan members on recruitment, site management, and overall behavior in the clan.

Structure [ GUIDE ] PLEASE READ
INTRODUCTION
We are going to begin diagramming the structure. Diagramming will be accomplished through multiple threads. These threads are titled with special tags, such as '[POSITION][THE BOARD] General of Development', the thread relates to a 'position' within 'The Board' level. The first post within a thread will include ideas and thoughts to spark discussion.
Creating a Position
Structure Levels can not be created.
Structure sub-levels can not be created without approval
Structure positions can be created as long as it follows guidelines.
- Please note it could be deleted only any basis. All structure positions will need to include a description and ideas that will inspire discussion of the position. We want to know how the position will benefit the clan.

[POSITION][The Board] Head of Recruitment
Head of Recruitment
Description The creation of this position signifies the beginning of the Recruiting Operations Department. First off we will begin with an introduction to the Department, which may or may not help with the understanding of responibilities that the Head of Recruitment will be required to maintain. The title is still in design; however, it's purpose has been talked about nonstop within threads. This department consists of Recruit Managers, which will be one per section. A Recruit Manager will be in charge of boosting the numbers in a section by managing the number of recruiters and creating as well as updating an effective recruiting policy. Recruiting is the main goal of these individuals. This will leave Section Leaders and Co-leaders in charge of other affairs. A Recruit Manager can only be filled through a special process where the section leader nominates, and the Head of Recruitment approves the nominee.

Description
The Board is a child of The Cabinet. The Cabinet creates a department to focus on an area that deserves special attention such as Recruiting or Section Development as examples. All departments will have a head or a leader that will manage the objectives, create additional positions within the department to handle sub-areas of special interest, and report the progress of the department. All department heads will be united under The Board; therefore, head of departments can expect Board Meetings as well as special requests from The Cabinet.

Inactivity:
DiE_NoW - Seen online; however, not seen on the forums since Dec. 5th
Elixir - Last seen on the forums Dec. 3rd
Added an additional position that will allow Elixir to stay on The Cabinet, and allow us to continue working at full effect. The reason we leave Elixir on the cabinet is for his long term commitment.
Therefore...
Two new positions are opened on the Cabinet. DiE_NoW will be removed of his "The Cabinet" status, he will receive a ribbon for his service and he will be allowed to serve when he returns. New elections will be held.
PUSHING TO THE NEXT STEP
Our next step, after a "short break", will be to continue the development of the Government and Clan. Elixir, DiE_NoW, and myself will colaberate together on the next step, and execute it promptly. Our summer will be very fruitful as it should always be.

So you missed the meeting huh? Well, it's ok, we're doing it again tomorrow. LOL.
You can find the meeting minutes in this thread. Please read them before you join a meeting so you know what's going on. Many of us have put a lot of time into this effort; don't waste it.
PhP Collab
PHP Collab is a new web-based work production and workflow management tool VeX is going to use in the future.

Member Limits
Should members be limited to the number of sections they can be active in?
example:
Member A currently active in two sections and wants to join Section A. Member A would have to resign from one of the two sections that Member A is currently active in to be eligable to join Section A.
It could be seen as a useless limit or as a tool to focus members time.
[POSITION][The Board] Engineer
The Engineer heads the Engineering department, real creative. This position manages the web designers, graphic artists, web developers, etc..., and makes sure the website, and any additional services hosted by VeX is working correctly.

An engineer has to be a jack-of-all-trades, but not necessarly a grandmaster of one specific skill.
VeX Core
VeX Core - the law making body?
Thoughts?
The VeX Core would include 'The Cabinet' and 'The Board', which the two combined should not equal more than 10 ppl.
Development Department
We need a department that handles the development of VeX. The department would review the creation of new sections, remove/help inactive sections, and oversee recruitment.
This is what I think the development department should be, but I want to know what everyone else thinks.
